About

I’m Javi, founder of ODS Tech Consulting. This blog is where I write about the things I spend most of my time thinking about: AI, engineering, and the future of Venezuela; sometimes separately, often tangled together.

By day, I run ODS, where we help companies build and ship software, make sense of AI tooling, and solve the kind of engineering problems that don’t have a clean answer in a docs page. What you’ll read here is an extension of that work. The opinions, lessons, and half-formed ideas that don’t quite fit in a client deliverable but are too useful (or too stubborn) to keep to myself.

Expect posts on:

AI — what’s actually useful versus what’s hype, how I’m using it in real engineering work, and where I think it’s headed.

Engineering — practical takes from building software and consulting across different teams and stacks, the decisions that matter more than they get credit for, and the ones that matter less.

Venezuela — reflections on tech, opportunity, and building things connected to where I’m from.

ODS — what we’re building, what we’re learning, and what’s changing at the company.

This is a personal blog, not a polished press release. I write what I actually think, and I’d rather be useful and occasionally wrong than safe and forgettable. If that sounds like your kind of read, subscribe and stick around.
